MIND CONTROL: AN A.R. EXPERIENCE - CREATOR/WRITER & EDITORIAL
Wrote Mind Control and oversaw a cross-discipline team to not only create the comic book, but lead development of our in-house augmented reality companion app by setting deadlines, providing reference material, tracking assets, and leading app testing sessions. In conjunction with that, I worked directly with our marketing team to develop, plan, and execute the launch event at New York Comic Con 2018. Lastly, I produced our original score with composer João Gabriel Rodrigues.
AFTERSHOCK COMICS & SEISMIC PRESS - MANAGING EDITOR
As Managing Editor at AfterShock Comics, I read and evaluate outlines and scripts, track and maintain creative assets, oversee production schedule, review and provide story notes to creators, write solicit and backmatter copy, coordinate our backmatter program, maintain our project greenlight document and in-house variant tracker, maintain our catalog of creator bios and photos, assist our film and tv division, review story pitches, edit and advise our Young Adult imprint (Seismic Press), acted as transitional social media community manager to our over 58k followers, and bring to life exciting fan experiences at conventions worldwide.
LAKE MOHAWK POOL & SPA - CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT, PROJECT COORDINATION & HEAD CHEF / F&B OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Created sketches and overall creative direction for reimagining the historic private pool club, Lake Mohawk Pool, in northern New Jersey. Coordinated onsite remodel and installation, including dedicated kid areas, adult-only areas, architectural remodel, building and planning of onsite Arcade and camp program, and design and installation of the onsite mini-golf course. To accomplish all of this, I worked closely with our creative team, contractors, and onsite crew while providing regular updates to varying stakeholders. The phased, multi-year refurbishment won multiple awards, including the Sussex County Beautification Award. In 2019, the Lake Mohawk Country Club bought the pool from the Leo-Carbin group and brought the facility into their overall club offerings. Fun fact: I was Head Chef and F&B Operations Director for 5 years overseeing a team of 15 in the task of feeding just over 900 members on our daily lunch and dinner services, planning and executing special events, and working closely with F&B providers Coca-Cola, Rockland Bakery, Dingman's Dairy, and SYSCO.
HOTEL PONCE DE LEON CIVIL RIGHTS MARKER - MARKER COPY & PROJECT COORDINATION
Working in partnership with Flagler College, their Diversity & Inclusion office, and Black Student Union, we began developing a Civil Rights marker that commemorated a sit-in that took place within the dining hall of the then-segregated Hotel Ponce De Leon just four years before the founding of Flagler College. I led a team to bring this marker to life by sorting through FBI and police records, researching and logging old newspaper articles, presenting our vision and design to the College's President and board, and secured the necessary funding to create the marker, while illustrating concept art to show how the marker would look and sit on the proposed site, wrote the marker copy, and worked with the manufacture to turn proofs into a physical marker.
ITS GOTTA BE CREATIVE PODCAST - CREATOR/HOST & PRODUCER
As host and producer of the behind-the-scenes interview series focused on creative professional's career stories, I set up interviews, edit shows, develop partnership listener benefits, worked closely with composer João Gabriel Rodrigues to create original intro and outro scores, write up social media and marketing copy and oversee our graphic design team to ensure brand guidelines are met across video, social media, and marketing assets.
